So, these are the things that come up in my class: SpongeBob and Running. Not together though.
We are reading Slave Narratives and one of the quotes says something about eating goobers, which, quite frankly sounds pretty gross. Unless, of course, you are a fan of SpongeBob Squarepants. THEN, you might know that the Goofy Goober song takes place in a nut store, performed by a peanut. This is because a "goober" is a peanut. Kudos to the writers of this amazing cartoon who, while immature and ridiculous, are also clearly intelligent enough to know that back "in the day" peanuts were referred to as goober peas.
Running? Some theater students are training for a 5K. I am so proud of them for going out of their comfort zones and trying something new. What does this tell you? Steiner uses extra time to motivate HER students to good health. Mine watch cartoons.
